7 weeks!

I'm already getting bad at keeping this updated! Well, week 6 has come and gone and Raegan is now 7 weeks old.  It's hard to believe that we are creeping up on 8 weeks already. Where has the time gone.  We've always kept pretty busy, with our hobbies as well as Sevrine's running, and adding Raegan into the mix hasn't changed anything more than how much stuff we have to pack and prepare every time we leave the house.

Sevrine and Jeff fight over who gets to hold Raegan during church, and Jeff usually wins.  Although, Sevrine does wear him down occasionaly and gets a turn.

Raegan and I paid Dad a visit at work on Friday after my training appointment and she got to test out Dad's chair.

She's not sitting up yet, I only managed to keep her propped up long enough to get the photo.

Raegan is getting so much bigger.  It's crazy to see her now compared to how little she was when we brought her home.  It's fun though to see her personality develop.

We had a track meet this weekend for Sevrine and it was the first time we've gone out of town since we had Raegan.  It didn't go perfectly, but at least I managed to bring enough diapers and formula.  I did however forget to bring our chairs and blankets for the meet.  Oh well.

This was Raegan sleeping in her travel bed, although it doesn't have much growing room since she's gone through a couple of major growth spurts over the last few weeks.

Sevrine ran so well at her track meet this weekend.  She PR'd in all of her events as well as podium finishes in all of her events.  She got two 2nd place finishes and one 3rd (she won her heat, and there was some confusion about medals because they split up her age group between the two heats). I got tons of pictures thanks to my new phone's awesome burst setting, but I'll only post a few of them here.

I believe this was Sevrine during the 1600M race.

And she had to run right to Dad to tell him that she got first place (in her heat). If you've seen the video on facebook, this was after the 400M where she had started to hunt down the leaders after 200M and passed both of them with a little more than 100M to go and finished with a very healthy lead.  We were so proud of how she ran this race.

I know I'm getting out of order, but right before we went to Austin for the track meet, Sevrine had a Fiesta party at school that she and her friend Annabelle made shirts for.

I will try to do better this week about keeping it all together and more organized.  Hopefully we'll get more good pictures this week.  Once Raegan is awake I will add a picture for today.

1 month / 5 Weeks

It is crazy how fast time is going by! None of us can believe that Raegan is already a month old! She is so much fun to watch, even when she's driving Jeff nuts.

Raegan has done really well when she comes to work with me, which is probably why they haven't said anything yet. But seriously, she does really well, and I train my client in the family fitness room (with the Gym's permission) and my client doesn't mind at all. Raegan got to come with me for Jeff's skin cancer surgery and did really well during the 4 hours we waited for him. She definitely missed her snuggle time with Daddy though while he was recuperating.

We had kind of a lazy Saturday but went over to the Nye's to watch the Duke game before the guys turned on the Priesthood Session of General Conference.  Sevrine, Raegan and I went home at that time so we could watch part of the Kentucky game.  Sad that Kentucky lost, but even more sad that one of their players stuck his foot in his mouth.

Sunday, we watched conference as a family. Although Sevrine would rather have been doing anything else.

Raegan, of course, slept through conference, while Sevrine only wished she could.

Everyone had a good Easter. Sevrine got a movie that she has been wanted for a while and even got to hunt for easter eggs outside (we skipped it last year at the apartment).  Even though half of the eggs were hiding in plain site, she had a blast.  Next year she will have competition though.

Raegan didn't know what to make of any of it, but it was still fun to watch her.  She got a sock monkey and a little dolly.  I think she might be a little traumatized by the sock monkey though.

Raegan has gotten into a habit of only wanting to sleep in our arms some days, so I ended up buying her a bouncer (pure coincidence that it has monkeys on it) that she really does seem to like, almost as much as her swing.

Sevrine really likes helping, and would probably help out more if we'd let her.  I'm a little afraid to let her change a poopy diaper for fear I'll have more mess than just the baby to clean up.  She really does do a good job though.

So, some more things that happened during this time frame, were Sevrine's Birthday party.  It was really great to have her Cross Country family come over, her best friend Olivia and her family as well as Jeff's family coming down from Houston and some of her friends from school.  A shout out to Marissa Villarreal for helping me put Sevrine's name on her cake as well as taking over cake cutting duties.  We are terrible at that kind of stuff.  Even if we weren't friends, you'd get an invite just for your party skills.

I think this pretty much covers it.  It seems like things are starting to slow down a little now that Jeff is back at work, so there will probably be fewer pictures, but we'll keep posting updates.

4 Weeks!

Jeff and I can hardly believe how quickly time seems to be flying by.  It's really already been 4 weeks since we brought Raegan home. While life has changed quite a bit, we are still doing all of the same things we were doing before we brought her home.

Sevrine is doing well at track and has her first track meet on the 18th.  I haven't brought Raegan to the track yet, but mostly because Dad likes to have some time with her, and he doesn't love hanging out at the track.  This gives Sevrine and I time together doing something that she loves though, or at least loves most of the time.

Raegan had her 2 week check-up this last week and has gained back the weight she lost plus 1 extra pound.  She is a half an inch longer as well.  It's fun to watch the little changes.

We got to have more pictures taken of her, which turned out so amazing.

I really can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!  One of the cool things about the military is the people you meet.  Christina, the amazing photographer, worked with and is friends with Jeff (and I). We really should have set this up sooner, because she has done some seriously amazing photos for us.

I've been really lucky to be able to get back to some sort of fitness routine over the last few weeks.  Jeff has no problem watching the kiddo so I can get out and get a run/workout in.  On Saturday, I skipped my run because we were setting up and cleaning up from Sevrine's Birthday party so I convinced Sevrine to come out and do my Week 2 Day 3 of Couch to 5K with me.  We probably should have waited until a little later in the day when it would have been cooler, but we got it done.

Sevrine has also been wanting to help more with the baby.  She likes to snuggle with her as long as she's not to squirmy, and she's even asked to change diapers.  I managed to get a picture of my two cuties, both smiling.

Raegan had gotten a little bit off her schedule for a few days, thinking she was nocturnal, which was a little bit rough on Jeff and I, but she seems to be getting back into her normal pattern. We think she's going through another growth spurt as well since it seems like she's back to wanting to eat constantly.

I've been really lucky so far; Raegan is turning out to be a really happy baby, just like Sevrine was.  Neither of them (at least so far) were/are very fussy and were/are just generally happy babies.

Raegan doesn't sleep with music like Sevrine did/does, but she does like to be swaddled and/or have her fleece blanket right next to her cheek.  That will be really good until I have to try and swaddle her in her fleecie in July.

We also had another big visit for Raegan.  We got to see my parents on a layover at the San Antonio Airport.  I need to get a copy of the picture of Grandma with Raegan, but I'll post the one of Grandpa that I do have.

And yes, that is Ric Pugmire actually feeding a baby. :)

It's been a fun and eventful 4 weeks so far, and we can't wait to see what the coming weeks bring us.

3 Weeks

Well, we are starting to settle into a sort of routine.  Jeff is on his last week of leave, and I am trying to get myself ready to be home with the little cutie pie all by myself during the day.  On Monday and Friday, Raegan goes with me to my training appointment, which has gone smoother than I expected it would.

Raegan has had a busy week! On Saturday, Raegan got to go with Sevrine and I to the UTSA Challenge Invitational Track Meet.  It was fun for the kids to be able to see some big schools like UT, Texas Tech and Kentucky run, although they brought mostly Freshman from what I understand.

It rained most of the morning, so we kept Raegan bundled up in her carrier under my jacket.  She was nice and toasty warm.

On Sunday she was extra busy with a visit from Uncle Alex and Aunt Kate.  Sevrine and Raegan both got some quality snuggle time in with Aunt Kate, which made them all really happy.  Although it was a quick visit, we all had a blast.

Sevrine absolutely adores being a big sister.

Later on Sunday, we all went up to Big's for Sevrine's XC team dinner.  All the kids had a blast playing while the parents got some much needed "quiet" time in the shade.  After being Pregnant all season, it was nice to be able to show off what we'd been working on.  It was really cute to see Stella interact with Raegan.  We really do love our XC/Track family.

A common theme during the week is Raegan getting her much needed snuggle time with Dad.  She snuggles with Mom a lot too, but Dad really enjoys his time with Raegan.

There are so many more pictures, but we had to pick just a few of our favorites.  Raegan is getting bigger every day and it seems like all she does is eat.  We are enjoying every minute of watching her change and grow.
