5 Months!

I can't believe that this little munchkin is already 5 months old!  She weighed in at 14.8 pounds today.  I don't even think I can completely list all of the funny things she has been doing over the last two months.  I'll list as many of them as I can though.

We had some sister snuggle time.

Raegan and Sevrine got to help us pick out Mom's new car.

And enjoyed some dinner afterwards.

Spent some time at the pool.

Raegan is a really happy girl when she wakes up in the morning.

She still loves her swing.

She is such a funny girl.

I took her for our first real stroller run while Sevrine was running with her team and we saw a ton of deer on the trail.

Daddy likes to hang with his girls, especially on Father's Day.

We took a mini vacation and went up to see the Rangers play in Arlington.  What a ton of fun we had!

Daddy and Raegan enjoying a little nap while Sevrine and I were finishing up our Saturday morning run.

Raegan's first 4th of July!

She liked the fireworks, but some of them were a little louder than she was comfortable with.

Sevrine had a blast though playing with sparkelers and picking which fountains we lit.

The 5th was a hard day for all of us, because Sevrine left for Arizona right after church.  I really miss my girl when she's gone.  Raegan and Daddy missed her a ton too.

Raegan had her 4 month shots, and did not like them at all.  This time they didn't have enough technicians to do two of the shots simultaneously, so our poor little sweetheart had her shots done one after the other.

Raegan has really liked playing with the Sevrine bear.

We had fun taking pictures to send to Sevrine.

Raegan got to have baby food for the first time!  We were really surprised that she liked the carrots.  She's not real great at keeping it in her mouth, but she's having fun.  She doesn't like peas as much, but she'll eat them.

Raegan is really good and likes to come to the gym with me while I train my clients.  She has been such a great baby!

She is such a happy girl in the morning that I can't help but bring my camera with me just in case.  I'm usually graced with smiles and giggles.

One of her favorite things to do is sit out on the back patio with Daddy and watch the flags wave.  She has been able to relax in Dad's hammock to make it even more fun.

She's been missing her big sister so we keep the Sevrine bear in her pack n play so she can snuggle with her.

She doesn't like wearing hats very much, but we finally got her to leave it alone when we took her for a walk through the neighborhood.

It's become a tradition of sorts for Jeff to take a picture with his girls in front of the heart in Kerrville.  We did it with Sevrine a few years ago and decided to take Raegan up so she could get a picture.  Next on our list is to get one with all three of them.

We've started walking more as a family, and even though it's really warm, Raegan really likes going out in the stroller.

Raegan sleeps really good, but sometimes she doesn't nap long enough for me to finish my workout.  Thankfully she'll sit in the swing so I can finish.

We got to take Raegan to her first car show.  We went to Soda Pop's up in Boerne to check out the Hot Rods and Tim, one of the guys who runs the car show gave Raegan her very first ice cream.  She had strawberry and did pretty well.  She didn't want us to take the spoon away from her.  She was so good and happy the whole time and even got to sit in a Corvette, thanks to some really cool owners.

Today, I bought Raegan her first pair of chuck taylors.  She didn't try to kick them off like she does her other shoes.

I really can't believe how big she's gotten over the last few months, even over the last few weeks.  She has so much personality.  She rolls over from back to front and front to back, she'll grab your face to keep you close, she can mostly hold her own bottle, she stands up on her own as long as we hold her hands so she doesn't topple over, she sticks out her tongue and blows raspberries, she smiles when you sing to her, she recognizes when I tell her Daddy's home, she can find and replace her pacifier when she loses it, she still sleeps through the night (as long as we put pants on her so she doesn't get cold), and she likes baby food.

3 Months!

I can hardly believe Raegan is 3 months old!  She is growing way too fast.  She has been a really easy baby for the most part and really happy.  We love her smiles!

I always said that life doesn't stop, just because you have a new baby, and that has been completely true so far.  Raegan has been a good sport about being taken to the gym, track meets, road trips and lots of other outings with very little fuss. Things take more planning and prep, but we've had a lot of fun.

It's been too long since I updated, so it's hard to remember what I need to post here. So in no particular order, here are some of the things we've been up to.

A family Date Night at Gino's East.  We were too hungry to wait for a deep dish (45 minutes to an hour wait), so we got a thin crust.  We'll go back again with the Donat's to try some REAL Chicago style deep dish though.  Sevrine had a blast getting to write her name on the wall.

Raegan still doesn't love tummy time, but she does like her new play mat.

Raegan had fun getting to go see Sevrine for lunch at school, and it seems that all the teachers and kiddos love to see the baby.

Over Memorial Day we got to take a little road trip.  We stayed local, but I'd been wanting to see the Dr. Pepper Museum.  It was pretty cool since it was housed in the original factory, but I wish there would have been more to see.  We also got to go the the Magnolia Market, from the show Fixer Upper, one of our favorite shows.  Was a little too crowded for us, and I'm sure the locals hate it.  Raegan did pretty well on the trip, although it did throw her off of her schedule a little.

Raegan handled the excitement of the hotel stay as well as some cousin time, really well.  Talk about a spoiled kiddo.  It's always a great weekend when we can squeeze in some cousin time.

The last few weeks of school mean lots of fun activities.  This picture was from the Sock Hop they did at school.  Each grade was taught a different dance, with the older kids dancing with a partner.  Sevrine handled having to dance with a boy pretty well. Thankfully, we don't have to have the shotgun talk yet.

Sevrine competed at a local track meet last weekend and Raegan was in heaven.  We seriously love our track/cross country family.  I'm always amazed at how well Raegan behaves and how resilient she is to all of the places we take her.  Makes our crazy schedule so much easier.

Sevrine got an award at track practice this week for running 3 events at the track meet, with PR's in 2 of 3 events and tying her PR in the 400M.  Really proud of how she handled the day.  She didn't want to run the last event of the day (1500M) because she was tired from being out in the heat, but she did and did so well.  Her toughness never ceases to amaze me.  Even when I do have to coax it out of her.

We had water fun day at School on Tuesday and Sevrine had a blast.  I got to come watch for a while and Raegan was super chill and relaxed, even in the heat.  Thankfully I have the car seat cover I made for her to keep her shaded.

Our first pool trip of the season, and Raegan's first time swimming.  She didn't like it at first, but she was hungry, so I can't get mad.  She did like it a little better after a bottle though.  Once the water warms up a little, it will be more comfortable for her, and me.

Seriously can't believe she is 3 months old!  I don't really want her to stay a baby forever, but I wish we could stay in this phase a little longer.  It is so much fun to watch her little personality really come out.  She started smiling at week 2, and it gets bigger and brighter every week.  She loves to play and giggle with us, and we just love all the fun sounds she makes. We're going to keep enjoying every step of this process.
